39 years.

born
November 5,
1920 in
Wheatland,
WY to Harold
and Lila
Loomis. In
his heart,
Hugh was
always a
cowboy and
rancher but
in 1942, he
was drafted
into the
Army for
WWII and
served as a
Corporal
with the 602
Field
Artillery
Pack and
Glider
Battalion.
He served in
the
artillery on
Kiska Island
and the
Aleutian
Islands;
also in
Italy,
Southern
France,
Germany and
Austria by
the time the
war ended.
On April 10,
1946, 65
years ago,
Hugh married
Lois Caster
of Omaha, NE
and she
joined him
in
Wheatland,
Wyoming to
start their
family and
live out his
love of
ranching.
After 11
years and
three
children,
they moved
to Omaha,
Nebr. where
Hugh worked
for Western
Electric.
They where
members of
Harvey Oaks
Baptist
Church and
served the
Lord for
many years.
He retired
after 25
years and in
1995, moved
to Ft.
Collins, CO
to be near
his daughter
and her
family and
to be close
to the
Wyoming land
that he
loved. Hugh
had many
hobbies that
included
planting
trees,
vegetable
gardening,
arrowhead
and rock
collecting,
lapidary
projects,
making
canes,
feeding the
birds, and
riding his
three wheel
bike with
his dog
Rowdy that
only he
loved.

survived by
his wife
